Description
Produced from a low-yielding, steep hillside vineyard just behind our winery, from vines trained on a classic, two-wire, cane-pruned trellis. Small-lot fermented with thrice-daily hand punch-downs, and aged for two years in fine, French-coopered Hungarian oak barrels, this exceptional Merlot is intense, full-bodied with full tannic structure and well-integrated flavors of cherry, herbs, and oak, with the acid balance for long aging. Serve whenever a full-on, reserve-style red wine is called for. 14.5% alcohol.
