Description
Sangiovese, of ancient origin and likely indigenous to Italy’s Tuscany, forms the base of the blend for Chianti and is the only grape permitted in the fine Brunello di Montalcino wines. A productive grape, crop levels must be managed carefully to maximize color and flavor depth. Adapted to a wide variety of soils, It thrives on the rolling hills of the Temecula Valley. Our current rendition of this Italian classic is medium-bodied, with fruity flavors redolent of cherries, with the acid balance for Italian food pairing. The ideal accompaniment to Tuscan cuisine or any classic red-sauce pasta. 15.2% alcohol.
